Martin Randal Travel just got the premiere treatment from none other than Not Just A Phase. Their split with Sulfur (their premiere was last week via This Noise Is Ours, linked here and embedded below) releases on Tomb Tree this Monday February 24th on 52 tapes. Vancouver’s Smush just released their 3rd music video from ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ and we’re down to the absolute last copies of the first pressing. This was CanaDave’s album of the year in 2024! 2 left on the Softseed bandcamp, 2 in the Canada store, and 22 in the U.S. store. Zero chance these are still around by summer so snag now or forever hold your peace.

Belted Sweater got the good’ole OMSB premiere treatment with the final single “More Rack Toms (than people in the audience)” and it’s amazing. It’s different. By golly it’s a bit strange at first, but like CanaDave you will likely become enamored with this incredible glam skramz solo project from LA. Full tape release is this Friday the 21st of February on Softseed Music (but we’ll have a few copies too) and Self Versed Records. The Coma Of Eris debut album immediately caught the eye of the almighty Stereogum who were kind enough to do a little write-up of it. Tapes have been ordered and will arrive in mid-March, after which CanaDave will decorate and they should be released late March/early April. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: YELLFIRE = I knew nothing about this band when I played with them, but they played as a three-piece and blew us all away. After the set we were informed that they were missing a guitar player at that show and everyone’s jaws broke the fuck off. They’re like Botch x Kollapse. Amazing.

The next Mourn Recif show (a screamo band CanaDave plays in) is this Saturday in Victoria and we’ll be playing a new song and have ZBR distro with new/unreleased stuff.

Operation X-Ray premiered a Belted Sweater track (releases next week!) and Coma Of Eris as well as a secret song that will never be released anywhere else. Hard recommend!!!

Zampler #24 came out on the last day of 2024 and includes a whopping 8 previously unreleased tracks! I know we initially said 9 but one didn’t get finished in time so that might pop up next Zampler. 2024 - 11 - 19 /// Canada Post on strike + good news

Canada Post is on strike. This means Canada store (aka this store) and most of the Bandcamp orders literally cannot ship out until it is resolved. The good news here is if you place multiple orders over the strike’s duration I can combine your orders and refund you some shipping after the gears get movin’ again. Fingerswoventogether released on Friday and we’ve blown through most of the tapes already. This store has a handful and the US store has a couple, but Bandcamp copies are sold out. Links to both stores are at the bottom of the Bandcamp page and cost less than those sold out copies anyways. Such a wicked debut EP!!!

Gxllium! is next! The first run of tapes flew so we made a bunch more - 150 to be exact. CanaDave is dipping those suckas now, and this run is professionally duped with proper j-cards, as the first run was all DIY, baby. EP of the year? Definitely up there!!! Gxllium! released ‘Breakup songs’ on Tuesday and all of our tapes sold out in less than an hour. I’ve included pics so you can see them, but they’re out until all copies arrive at their homes, then I have three extra copies that I’ll put when I know it’s safe to. We’ll also be making more, at the very least tapes, and perhaps doing more formats. Spotify isn’t up yet but I’ll post it when I can.

Just a reminder that we made those Nuvolascura cds and there’s only a handful left and will be sold out before Halloween. The US store has a single copy of the ST and bandcamp has two, the new LP is sold out. Linked above (in stock) and below (sold out).
