Next batch of releases + Bloom Dream tour

Dead Hour Noise is next on March 7th, followed by Tomb Tree’s Ashen Hands debut EP. The former is dirty and dark metallic hardcore/mathcore in the vein of Juan Bond and Curl Up And Die, while the latter is scorching emo-violence not unlike Danse Macabre and Yearning. We wanted to also let you know that we post almost daily on Bluesky (linked here) and also have a second run of Bloom Dream tapes finishing up now in time for the band’s tour and next Monday’s cassette release. This time we swirled’em!

Martin Randal Travel just got the premiere treatment from none other than Not Just A Phase. Their split with Sulfur (their premiere was last week via This Noise Is Ours, linked here and embedded below) releases on Tomb Tree this Monday February 24th on 52 tapes. Vancouver’s Smush just released their 3rd music video from ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ and we’re down to the absolute last copies of the first pressing. This was CanaDave’s album of the year in 2024! 2 left on the Softseed bandcamp, 2 in the Canada store, and 22 in the U.S. store. Zero chance these are still around by summer so snag now or forever hold your peace.

Belted Sweater got the good’ole OMSB premiere treatment with the final single “More Rack Toms (than people in the audience)” and it’s amazing. It’s different. By golly it’s a bit strange at first, but like CanaDave you will likely become enamored with this incredible glam skramz solo project from LA. Full tape release is this Friday the 21st of February on Softseed Music (but we’ll have a few copies too) and Self Versed Records. The Coma Of Eris debut album immediately caught the eye of the almighty Stereogum who were kind enough to do a little write-up of it. Tapes have been ordered and will arrive in mid-March, after which CanaDave will decorate and they should be released late March/early April. Athousandangelsandseven were featured on the HMHD video podcast (along with a buncha posters that these dudes bought from the Canada store) and it’s both amazing and hilarious. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: YELLFIRE = I knew nothing about this band when I played with them, but they played as a three-piece and blew us all away. After the set we were informed that they were missing a guitar player at that show and everyone’s jaws broke the fuck off. They’re like Botch x Kollapse. Amazing.

2025 - 02 - 12 /// ZBR Fest in full + stock update on Saturday!

ZBR Fest 2025 is fully outta tha bag and staggering to the eyes. Good fuckin’ lord it’s gonna be a time. Screamo time. Click on the pic above or this text to go get dem tix, baby.

Distro + stock update this Saturday includes the last 5 Febuary cds as well as Fallingwithscissors cds, Valeska Suratt 12”s, and Osceola 12”s, etc. If you miss the Febuary cds fret not cuz 1) we made 300 more and 2) the band is playing ZBR Fest and will have a buncha copies at their shows as of early March.

Friday is Coma Of Eris release day but you can jam “Archers Take Aim” below and “A Dip in Lake Drowning” in the above premiere. Tapes should follow late March.

The next Mourn Recif show (a screamo band CanaDave plays in) is this Saturday in Victoria and we’ll be playing a new song and ZBR distro with new/unreleased stuff will be attendance also. They’ve got 8 songs recorded that should come out late spring, but you can jam a demo song below.

We had to bump the ZBR Fest final wave to Wednesday to allow for one more thing to run through the filter. So it’ll be final lineup, pre-show lineup, and ticket sales. Feel free to wear a diaper on your head cuz it might explode.

Coma Of Eris premiered two final songs from the upcoming self-titled cassette LP releasing this Friday February 14th, the first titled “Archers Take Aim” was put on the Operation X-Ray show, while the latter is titled “A Dip in Lake Drowning” and was just premiered this morning on Not Just A Phase. ZBR Fest final wave on Monday along with tickets and the pre-show lineup! Goddamn it’ll be a time.

Braininavat’s debut EP just released! 63 tapes over four variants plus test dips. Angulary, screamy rock/hardcore for fans of Drive Like Jehu, Llewelyn, Daniel Striped Tiger, and Lowmeninyellowcoats. Jam/buy below!

In Loving Memory’s full length was released on a short second run of tapes. Our bandcamp and Canadian/International copies are already gone but for some reason we still got a handful in the US store. Said copies are linked to this text!

Spain’s Shibuya released their first single from the upcoming 12”LP ‘Bravura y Firmamento’ with “Gibosa Creciente”, complete with music video! Jam that shit below. Full album releases in early May.

Mathcast Senza, Demersal, and a bunch of other sick artists were discussed on the Mathcore Index podcast Mathcast.
