Die Princess Die releases Friday then ZBR Fest Wave #1

Die Princess Die is releasing their discography via cassette on Zegema Beach Records in one week! Brand new art from Boris Hager! All 22 recorded tracks! CanaDave has been obsessed for literally two decades so this is a treat and then some. It’s like Slint meets Indian Summer meets chaos and it’s on a level all its own. Check out ‘Discography’ on Friday December 20th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on just 52 tapes!!!

2024 - 12 - 10 /// Coup D'etat release + show on Friday

Is Canada Post still on strike? You betcha. Most Canadian store orders and some Bandcamp orders simply cannot go out until it ends. We apologize for any inconvenience but it’s out of our hands. The one thing we can do is ship via FedEx but the costs are much higher, so if you need something by a certain date and don’t mind paying extra just hit up CanaDave at zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com and he’ll let you know the new shipping quote.

Febuary cds came again. And then they went. Sold out in about an hour. We’ll make more, as well as tapes, and be sure that they’ll be ready for early May. Cuz…nevermind ;)

On Friday Coup D’etat releases their debut album ‘What Happens After the Epilogue…’ on Tomb Tree, and they’ve also got a release show with CanaDave’s Mourn Recif band, so we’ll have tapes and ZBR distro at the show! Onewaymirror is out and doing well. The merges are running low, black is down to four copies left, and there is a test press on Bandcamp and in the U.S. store.

Ooooo baby we gotz those sexy Onewaymirror 7”s in last night! These go up for sale on Sunday July 14th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST! 200 merge, 200 pink, 100 black, 5 tests and another 5 botched tests that we’ll put up at cost.

Gil Cerrone’s ‘Consumer’ released in full today so you need to check that fire out and keep it contained before it burns everything down. 12”s should arrive and ship by the end of July.

Excrucis had a song premiere on OMSB today and by golly it’s some serious fire. You can jam “Ceasefire” from the Zampler below or click on this text/the picture above to hear the brand new song “Parasite”. Both come off of the band’s July 22nd release ‘There are Collectivities that Devour Souls’ releasing on 100 tapes through ZBR.

The Beats Per Minute blog posted a massive missed list of stuff they hadn’t reviewed from the first half of 2024 and there are some ZBR and Tomb Tree things floating around in there like Terry Green and Basque. The two bangin’ Animal Faces EPs have been released on one 12” and they are selling well. I’ve seen a few people that hadn’t heard of this band before and it was nice to see them flip out. Yes, Animal Faces are that good. Sounds like the Lautrec and Caravels comparisons were helpful.

‘I don’t watch sports anymore’ 12” lathe split between Charger Port and Serling was just released! Check that mathy goodness out below and be sure to snag a ridiculously limited /50 lathe with special jackets by Josh from Vamonos Tapes! The black jackets are the regular covers, but there are a few alternate versions that will be randomly inserted into a few orders! Softseed Music released Smush’s debut LP ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ with a 12” pre-order this past Saturday. We’ve got some in the ZBR U.S. store despite the band being Canadian and on Softseed cuz goddamn it’s just so good. Heavy shoegaze/alternative/noise rock that is as powerful as it is beautiful.

Operation X-Ray did a great episode recently with a double dose of Softseed Music featuring both Smush and Leavs. Check out the Leavs music video below!
