Hey hey! Here’s a quick/updated weekly schedule for ya.

FRIDAY: Crossed 12”EP releases / Distro update

SATURDAY: Entwife cd releases on Tomb Tree

Vow released today on Tomb Tree and it’s arguably the heaviest thing they’ve ever released, which is saying something cuz they released Orphaned! Wicked late 90s metallic hardcore meets 2000s metalcore with some death crossover. Stores are linked through the bandcamp below.

With such a stellar release, it only makes sense that people are giving the new self-titled .22LR reviews. Case in point (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))). Tapes didn’t sell out immediately but they’ve been moving steadily since the release as people are catching on that this is one of the best EPs of 2024. Widowdusk was reviewed by the always truthful Borderline Fuckup who gave this release an “underappreciated” tag which we agree with. Sure it got some hype, but jamming through that thing is heavenly. Fest update! Onelinedrawing and Burial Etiquette will be unable to make it this year (mad bummer), but fret not because we’ve added Herlovebheadsdaisies (Sunday) and Missouri Executive Order 44 (Saturday)!!! Click on that pic above to get some tickets!

Just a heads up, there will be no Demersal pre-orders for Tomb Tree/ZBR, just like Crossed, we’ll wait until the release and we have them in hand. Demersal is set for May 10th, 2024.

The next Tomb Tree release is the stellar new screamo band .22LR who contains members of Low Before The Breeze, Less Dead, and Jornada Del Meurto (to name just a few) with a new song premiering over at Idioteq.com. Full release is April 2nd!!! Click on the pic above or this text to go there.

2024 - 03 - 20 /// Gossip + Lower Automation releases

That’s right, there’s more Lower Automation comin’ your way! They recently finished their new EP ‘Welcome To My Deathbed’ which houses tracks of the bands’ most experimental and whacko material to date. Releases on limited cassettes May 20th, 2024 on ZBR!!!

Gossip’s ‘Coals of Juniper’ releases on 10” April 29th, 2024 - that’s just a few days before their ZBR Fest 2024 performance! You can also catch them at New Friends Fest (where you’ll also find both Daves) in August. Jam the first single “Casting Crowns” below!!!

Basque releases this Friday so it’s time for the full spread for ‘Pain Without Hope of Healing’. These puppies release on Tomb Tree March 22nd, 2024 at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on their bandcamp and our Tomb Tree section in this store. All of the Tomb Tree releases are also in the US store, you just gotta search for’em. This is a very low run, just 17 ‘The Color of Pain’ swirl, 10 ‘Flower Garden’, and 5 test dips w/matching swirl case. Jam a single below!

If you missed the Widowdusk bandcamp release you need to get on that. The more I listen, the deeper I fall for it.

2024 - 03 - 18 /// Widowdusk released!

One of the essential California screamo revival bands is Widowdusk. They have been releasing stellar EPs and splits for a few years, and really owning the live scene over there, and with this debut full length they prove why there has been so much damn hype out west. Let the 10 tracks of emotionally jarring screamo wash over you now, scramble for a cassette around ZBR Fest, and/or snag that 12” vinyl come mid-late summer.

Vancouver Island’s Hillsboro just released a new music video for “Novalynn”. CanaDave is buds with this band and is playing a few shows with them in May via his new band Mourn Recif. This material is kinda Strokes/emo-esque with the newer/unreleased material getting heavier. 12”s still in stock!!!

Operation X-Ray premieres from Basque and Burial Etiquette as well jams from Crossed and Pettersson.

2024 - 02 - 20 /// Widowdusk 12"LP, Orchid this week

Widowdusk releases digitally March 18th, tapes will follow (definitely before ZBR Fest) and then 12”s (probably soon after ZBR Fest). This thing is by far the best thing they’ve done. Much heavier. Much techier. Much awesomer. English is my powerful tux, what can I say.

Oh yeah, absolutely fucking massive distro update on Thursday. Orchid, Moment Of Collapse, Shove Records and even a couple Blind Girls 3rd presses from No Funeral.

Horseboy is out. It runs wild. There is no taming instinctual amazingness. Try to lasso yourself a copy before they’re gone and runnin’ free.

Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow got a hefty/sick write-up from Everything Is Noise. We are very low on these and will undoubtedly sell out this year, most likely before ZBR Fest and possibly even next month. A birdie perched behind a kit in Michigan told me more stuff is coming. This Noise Is Ours gave our sold out Crowning + Maree Noise split a nice review in their lengthy ZBR Roster Review series.
