A bigass reminder that the Test Press raffle closes an hour after Little Big Stuff Thing tomorrow at 10am PST / 12pm CST / 1pm EST. As of now if you enter you will win, I have about 17 test presses but only about 5 entries so if you want a test press of your choosing for less than $4US then this is the biggest steal ever.

Okay so we’ve been hanging on to some backup copies in case the postal service fucked anyone, and as everything has arrived safely we can unlock those copies of very sold out stuff. On Saturday March 16th the Canada store will have their Little Big Stuff Thing, with the US version being held at the ZBR Fest 2024 Record Fair for those that miss out on the initial BST or are lucky enough to make the trek to rifle through the bins in person. This also enables people not attending the fest to actually snag something from this most recent Big Stuff Thing. The Test press raffle product is live and closes at 9am PST when the Big Stuff Thing tab goes live, and includes shipping costs as if you don’t win a test I’ll just send you a ZBR 12”, therefore no one actually loses, you just might not win a test. This enables customers to pick up some rare shit too from the Little Big Stuff Thing and then I can refund your shipping difference if you’ve taken part in the test press raffle. Included are some test presses of records that won’t be out for months (Terry Green, Niboowin, Gossip, etc.)!

The U.S. is either out or down to single digit copies whilst this Canadian/International store has just a single copy in store with an additional single copy on Bandcamp, included are New Forms, Othiel, and Pettersson.

CanaDave’s 150th podcast is with Gxllium!. We released their split with Onewaymirror last month, with their debut album getting the cassette treatment next month, and the band is also coming to ZBR Fest 2024 to annihilate us all.

Obroa-skai 12”s are in hand and release/ship this Friday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST! We did 100 on eco-mix (in this case it turned out blue-ish green) including a two-sided lyrical insert. We’ve got another distro item that’ll coincide with this release, get your cart ready! There’s not much other news that is publicly available, so thanks for reading and here’s some info! Firstly, I just ordered the Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow 12”LP so that’ll 100% come out in January, probably in the middle of it. Secondly, the plant is showing that Onewaymirror should be completed late December so I’d expect them to go up for sale super early in January. Thirdly, I have no clue when the 300th ZBR release will finish up, but I can say it’s a European emo-violence from years past and it’s co-released with Dog Knights. Mages? Yup.

2023 - 07 - 21 /// Congratulations In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory first release in 20 years is out in full! Digitals and cassettes are available/shipping next week! The band also has 12”s for sale/pre-order and that closes in just a few short days. The fact that we were asked to make tapes for this is a serious compliment that we did not take lightly, we are truly honored. Snag’em now, they won’t last long! I also found two full length stragglers so they’re up in the store too, right next to the new EP :)

The big mage news over here is that one of our favourite releases, all the way back at #30, is the Congratulations cassette. We spoke with No Funeral Records well over a year ago about doing vinyl and this Wednesday July 26th our plans come to fruition. If you have no idea who Congratulations is then feel free to peep this release show in Hamilton that CanaDave put on back in 2014, linked here, with Terry Green and Nous Etions.

Rotting In Dirt kicked off the upstairs show during the last night and unveiled two new songs from an upcoming split…and wowza! So good!!! We will continue posting the single videos for each band that played the last day of ZBR Fest 2023 in the order that they played, so there’s more coming!

Softseed Music released ‘Alaska’ by Uno Lady earlier this year and her tranquil music videos are making the rounds. The label has another release lined up for next week!
