Bloom Dream just released! ‘It Didn’t Have To Be This Way’ is a seven-song rollercoaster of feedback, crushing instrumentals, screamo, and metallic/dark hardcore. CDs available now! Tapes available later this month!

Leavs’ debut 12”LP 'Natura Universal' releases tomorrow! We’ll only have 25 of these in North America, 15 on the Softseed Music bandcamp, 5 here, and 5 on the ZBR U.S.A. site. The vinyl is on two gorgeous variants and should be in hand and shipping mid-late October. This Spanish shoegaze/alternative band boasts ex-screamo alumni from Tropical Ice Land, and this album is one of CanaDave’s favourite rock records of 2024. It's gorgeous, heavy, melodic, and catchy. September 17th = HALLAM FOE 'Funkapokalips' 12" lathe EP: This Indonesian four-piece have been making waves for years, so we are stoked to bring you their brand new 6-song EP 'Funkapokalips' on one-sided 12" lathe. Still screamy, sassy, and heavy, the band embraces some moshier and experimental moments on this one. Pressing on 25 clear and 25 black lathes. For fans of: SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Piri Reis, and Heavy Heavy Low Low

September 30th = FEBUARY 'February' cdLP: It doesn't get more screamo than this - become a sick screamo band, build hype with live shows, record a single batch of incredible songs, break up. September 10th = SPLIT SILK 'Bitter' cassette EP: Following two very promising EPs is this new, full-band (solo project no longer!) release shows heaps of progress. Featuring two new songs and an additional two live recording jams, the band's angular, noisy, rock is as refreshing as it is piercing. Ex-Under A Sky So Blue. Pressing on 80 cassettes: 35 red glitter swirl, 30 red, 15 white/red swirl, and 5 test dips w/matching swirl case. 4 songs. For fans of: Burial Etiquette, Against Me, and Unwound.

SOFTSEED MUSIC:

2024 - 08 - 12 /// We're back!!!

Hey yo! What’s up!?!?!?! The Daves are back and ready to kick some ass. New Friends Fest 2024 was awesome and the we got some serious screamo desserts. What’s next? Well we had so much happen during our break that I’ll be posting today and Tuesday (which doubles as the Reia Cibele tape release on Tomb Tree), so get ready for a full course screamo meal. Screamo is food? You betcha.

Riversleem just released another sick music video from their second EP on 7” /100. “Exit Essential Dread” is a fuckin’ banger and bowling fucking rules so you can’t go wrong. Get Sleemed, my friends!

Onewaymirror got the This Noise Is Ours love and rightfully so. 7”s still in stock but they move continuously so I reckon we’ll probably sell out before the year is out. Click on the logo above or this text to go to the review. Listen/buy below! Bandcamp was restocked just now as well!

Olth came out the day the Daves crossed countries/flew across a country and we moved a ton in that time. We’ve got only a handful of Rando Rainbow left (I think just the 3 on bandcamp, 1 in the Canada store and 15 in the US store) and about 3x that amount for the tri-merge.

Tenue flew on their August 1st release, unfortunately CanaDave also flew to Ontario and didn’t have time to ship the U.S. copies till today. They should arrive and be sent out in two weeks so those Mericans need a bit o’ patience <3 We also restocked Bandcamp with a single copy of each variant from the Canada store, otherwise we are almost sold out! Ordering more this week.

Operation X-Ray played more heat last week with our upcoming Reia Cibele amidst more bangers as well as Softseed Music’s next release from Hillsboro on August 23rd!

Onewaymirror is out and doing well. The merges are running low, black is down to four copies left, and there is a test press on Bandcamp and in the U.S. store.

Ooooo baby we gotz those sexy Onewaymirror 7”s in last night! These go up for sale on Sunday July 14th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST! 200 merge, 200 pink, 100 black, 5 tests and another 5 botched tests that we’ll put up at cost.

Gil Cerrone’s ‘Consumer’ released in full today so you need to check that fire out and keep it contained before it burns everything down. 12”s should arrive and ship by the end of July.

Excrucis had a song premiere on OMSB today and by golly it’s some serious fire. You can jam “Ceasefire” from the Zampler below or click on this text/the picture above to hear the brand new song “Parasite”. Both come off of the band’s July 22nd release ‘There are Collectivities that Devour Souls’ releasing on 100 tapes through ZBR.

The Beats Per Minute blog posted a massive missed list of stuff they hadn’t reviewed from the first half of 2024 and there are some ZBR and Tomb Tree things floating around in there like Terry Green and Basque.
