2023 - 08 - 28 /// September Upcomingness

So what’s going on? Lots of shit. Good shit. Momentous shit. Fecal God? Sure, why not.

Okay so August 31st we’ve got a little surprise Crowning 12” for you. No new material but remixed/remastered + out of print stuff. It’s gonna be sick. Full details tomorrow! Pics on Wednesday! Then the Crowning/Niboowin tour begins after the 12” is released! Oh happy day.

We’ve got a two-song lathe from a ZBR band that rocked us at the 2022 fest. I can’t seem to recall their name. Very weird. I am prone to forget. I do remember it comes out September 14th though!

After that is the September 25th release of Riversleem’s new 7”EP ‘A Second Release by Riversleem’ that will see a song premiere on September 13th via Borderline Fuckup. You can jam “Hammer” from the 21st Zampler which is also on the EP.

Later that same week we’ll be dropping the incredible Vibora 12”LP ‘Zaldi Beltza’ on Friday September 29th. This will be a co-release with Through Love Records in Europe. Jam a song from the 21st Zampler below!

Joliette’s ‘Luz de Bengala’ came out last Friday and is kicking serious ass, as is the band on their European tour! The Porcelain are all gone but we have some Sea Glass available as well as the gorgeous Sink Rose swirl color-in-color variant.

This Noise Is Ours gave some props to Course and their lone ZBR 7”EP (that we still have in stock). This thing was massively overlooked and I’m still bummed more people didn’t hear this phenomenal Botch/Chariot hybrid with two vocalists. I think we still have them on sale for less than cost. CanaDave finally got back in the saddle and pumped out one of the most important Out Past the Rings, that for Senza’s 2019 masterpiece ‘Even a Worm Will Turn’. We are out of 12”s! Only tapes remain. Unless you see them live then you better believe you’ll be snagging that 12”. Listen to it here.

When the The Sawtooth Grin confirmed to play our fest we pretty much lost our brains. Then we saw the band warmup and members from other bands stood around with jaws agape. Then we saw them tear the place apart to close out ZBR Fest 2023. And that’s it. We’re done here. Our 100th release is a celebration of this window into the future of screamo. Not even 19 years old, WIDOWDUSK hail from California and have been gathering a bunch of hype along the way. This the band’s pre-LP material and marks a shift into darker/screamier territory. IHUNTMONSTERS is a solo project from In Case Of Capture. This collection of songs are ridiculously heavy and concise, bringing to mind false grind meets emo-violence and panic chords. So fucking good. And the tapes? The fresh announcement today is the full release of DEAR DIARY THIS IS FROM MY TEENAGE ANGST TO MY ADULT SELF’s brand-spankin new EP to start off the 50-song collections tape!!! The new EP is titled ‘A Harvest of My Own Ignorance’ from the collections tape‘A Harvest of My Own Foolishness’. Sammy Gurule from Warren Of Ohms did the art and provides guest vocals on several new tracks. Check out that beauty! And if you missed it, there’s been a new song streaming since June 30th on Zampler #21!

A friendly reminder to check in this week for Orchid’s ‘Gatefold’ repress on 12”LP. We got just over 20 copies.

Also coming up is an old ZBR release that’s so incredible that we had to put it to 12” mage alongside our family at No Funeral Records. July 26th. It’ll be nuts. Announcement comes July 20th!
