2023 - 05 - 30 /// ZBR Fest 2023 video + 'coldworld' split
The Zegema Beach Records Fest 2023 full 2-hour video was unleashed and it’s a crushing, loving, incredible experience to behold. Watch it all below in the embed. We’re getting into 2024 mode come June so expect another ridiculous weekend next year.
Speaking of ridiculous, our current pipeline of releases is bursting at the seams so expect a well-coordinated attack on your senses for the rest of 2023.
Another important point of note, CanaDave recently unearthed a ton of stuff in The Vault (old tapes and vinyl releases, mostly from ZBR/Tomb Tree) and raffled off a few mages/handmades/tests in the first Zaffle. Honestly, it was tough to realize that I was in a monetary situation that needed me to let go of the ZBR full discography collection. Good news though, in hindsight it was extremely cathartic, and I’m ready to move more super rare shit so I only have one copy of each release. Therefore the final Zaffle and final Vault will go down on June 15th, 2023. This will clear my house of the final copies and be the absolute last clearance of old/rare releases whilst simultaneously diminishing my credit card debt that needs to go down so I can refinance my house in August. Tickets go on sale June 2nd, 2023.
The newest Tomb Tree release is the ‘coldworld’ 3-Way split cassette /34. We sold about half of our copies in the first 12 hours so we’ll probably run out in June if things continue to sell as they have been in 2023. Check it out below, the three tracks are both prodigious and stellar.
Mel*N who also plays in Heavenly Blue has an incredible diet pop project that you need to check out. CanaDave just released their first physical copies on tape via ‘Music’ on Softseed Music. We have some test dips in this store under the Softseed Music heading…or just click below.
For fans of: synth pop, diet pop, dance, and bedroom pop
Brooklyn’s Mel Lynn from Heavenly Blue also plays pop music…and it’s incredible. Ear-worm city full of dancing grubs, glitter, synths, catchy lyrics, beautiful melodies, and more. This ‘Music’ cassette contains the ‘All or Nothing’ EP on the A-side plus three single tracks on the B-side over three gorgeous variants and a few test dips. In a house overrun with musical demands, this tape gets more play than anything, and I can’t wait for a full lengh, omg.
Cassettes /51: 21 'Walkin' on the Beach (we don't care)' swirl, 15 'Guessing' random swirl, 10 'Little More' orange swirl, and 5 test dips w/matching swirl case, all in a plastic norelco case with j-card and download code.
