2023 - 04 - 29 /// Last Canada store orders go out on Tuesday
So at a truly ungodly hour in the late night/earling morning of May 3rd, CanaDave begins his trek to the airport for Zegema Beach Records Fest 2023 and will not return until May 10th. What does this mean for you? Probably nothing! But if you planned on ordereing from the Canada/International store (aka this one) then you should know that all orders will go out on Tuesday May 2nd and then the store will not be shipping until my return on the 10th. May 10th also happens to be the release of ZMAR’s new 12”LP so if there are any outstanding orders I’ll obviously combine them and automatically refund you some shipping. Click here to get those last few tickets!
The newest/super short Out Past the Rings 157 is for Blue Noise’s second demo titled ‘never born’. Very sold out. Very incredible. Maya plays in Heavenly Blue now so be sure to say hi to her at the fest and then devolve into loop questioning of “when will there be more Blue Noise?” (listen/download here)
The Ninehertz Podcast gave Life’s ‘Demo Three’ some serious love. Our stores continue to sell steadily and I reckon after ZBR Fest we’ll be close to out.
You will be seeing a lot of tour posters from bands playing ZBR Fest popping up here in case you are in the path of destruction. This Gillian Carter tour only matters if you’re in Japan, and if you’re in Japan then this is the only tour that matters. Best live screamo band, hands down. Here they are blowing my mind at ZBR Fest 2022. Buy ZBR Fest tickets here.
Today’s Hiding In the Outpost (aka our last copy of something):
Down to the last Off Minor cassette for ‘Innominate’, and it’s a test dip!!! Jeez how did that even happen, those always sell first!

OFF MINOR ‘Innominate‘ tape (ZB259)

Perhaps the biggest honor ever bestowed on Zegema Beach Records, the remixed version of ‘Innominate’ by the legendary jazzy screamo band OFF MINOR. Remixed by drummer/vocalist Steve Roach at Permanent Hearing Damage earlier this year, the eight songs sound better than ever. Whether it’s the bassy instrumental banger “Devil Ether”, the chaotic cornerstone “In SL” or epic closer “Family Circus”, every track on this album is exemplary and now even further refined. Our initial run is across 212 copies with the following breakdown:
- 67 orange swirl (+8 w/glitter shift and purple case -> randomly inserted)
- 63 black swirl
- 53 platinum gold swirl
- 10 white (only available through Limited To One)
- 2 mystery swirl
- 11 test dips
All cassettes come in a clear case with double-sided j-card, triple-panel insert booklet and download code. 8 songs.
